Our Structure

The Udawalawe National Park website belongs to the Info Sri Lanka group of websites and its sole purpose is to assist in preserving this invaluable national park for the future generations of the world by providing an arena for a community to work in collaboration around the national park. The community is which made up of the following four components:

• Udawalawe National Park
• Udawalawe National Park Lovers and Scientific Researchers
• Villagers around the park
• Service Providers associated with the Park (people who survive due to the Park)

  

Main Objectives of the Website

1. Development of the community through our website enables the community members to stay in touch and to be unified along with the national park through the Web. This relationship will ensure the long and secure existence of the fauna and flora of the Udawalawe National Park and allow future generations to enjoy its glory.
2. To enable the community provide support to the authorities to protect the Udawalawe National Park by acting as the guardians of the park.
3. To create one single arena from which accurate scientific information pertaining to the Udawalawe National Park and all its associated entities can be accessed.
4. To assist tourists to organise their tours with scientific as well as service providers’ information.
